Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas Y'all!!!

I hope Y'all are having a great day and that you haven't gotten too many socks (and if you did get socks I hope they're epic toe socks)

I've been thinking of ways to explain Christmas to a person who doesn't celebrate it, I'm not doing a very good job.
"Well, the whole point of Christmas is we're celebrating the birth of a kid who was literally born in a barn. And the way we celebrate is a fat stalker dude breaks into your house and eats your food before then leaving you lots of stuff under the dead tree that was cut back in November. The stalker dude watches you all year long (creepy!) and wears dead animals furs and drives a sled driven by reindeer (talk about bad mileage). We also celebrate by eating twice our weight in delicious fatty cookies and visiting people we may, or may not, want to visit (most of the time its not)."

After I'm finished talking most people will back away slowly with a fake smile plastered on.

i find this funny

Merry Christmas Everyone, God Bless.

I'm writing this beforehand so all I need to do is get on the computer for five seconds and hit the post button.

Blind Ravens, part 2

The next morning, Leander woke to overcast skies and a rumble of thunder in the distance. He dressed quickly and headed down the hall to the main of the inn for some breakfast, hoping Mea hadn’t left yet. The main room was unfortunately empty of blind girls, so Leander took his breakfast to the table that they had sat at last night, so he’d be able to see Mea if she came in. He want to see if she was going to La Ruse, she seamed to know a lot about the post and it would be nice to have a guide. Leander smiled into his porridge, a blind girl as a city guide, that was… unusual. A gleam from under the table caught his eye, he reached out and snagged the gleaming thing, and he now saw it was a necklace. The necklace had leather thong and from it hung a silver disk with a stylized raven cut into the metal, he looked closer and saw the small raven had an even smaller blindfold on it. Leander recognized the necklace; he had seen Mea wearing it last night, but hadn’t mentioned it. He slid the necklace into his pocket, maybe he could find someone to give it to her in the port, but he would never get there if he just sat in the inn all day long. Leander picked up his rucksack and walked out of the inn, heading along the southerly road that led to the port of La Ruse. After a few hours of peaceful walking it started to get dark, the clouds that had threatened rain all day finally opened up and the rain started to pour down by the bucketful. Leander sighed and jogged over to covered spot under a tree, hopefully this would be a quick rain storm and he would be able start walking again soon, the port was still a half a day of steady walking ahead of him. He heard voices then, coming from the thicket of trees behind him. He tried looking through the thicket, but it was… well… thick and he couldn’t see who was talking. He moved closer, trying to see who was speaking. Leander peeked his head around a tree trunk and saw first and foremost all the weapons that they carried, there were only two of them, but the each had at least three times the amount of weapons a normal traveler would be carrying. He ducked his head back be hind the tree before they saw him, they probably weren’t the kind of people to take kindly to others spying on them. The two young men looked very much the same, they where most likely twins, both with black wavy hair and blue eyes. They where talking quietly, heads bent over a map in the shelter of a huge pine tree. Leander heard a noise behind him and started to turn, but something smashed into the side of his head and he blacked out. A few minutes later he came to. He was tied hand and foot, with his back resting against the huge pine tree. Three people, two boys and one girl, stood looming over him, faces identical masks of distrust and suspicion. In fact, it looked like they where triplets, all three of them with black hair and blue eyes.
“Who are you?” demanded the girl in a thick Scottish accent “What do you want?” leaning against her leg was a heavy tree branch, the object Leander suspected was responsible for his pounding headache.
“Who are you?” the girl demanded again, razing the tree branch threateningly, but one of her brothers put a hand on her arm and stopped her
“Lorna…” he said warningly, the girl called Lorna rolled her eyes and dropped the branch, but then whipped a knife out of her boot.
“If you are fond of your ears, then you will tell me who you are!” Leander tried, but his throat was dry and constricted and he could only make a little choking sound. The girl called Lorna scowled at him and said something in rapid-fire Scottish to her heavily armed brothers. They advanced towards Leander and hauled him up by his elbows. Lorna approached, pulling a little bottle out of an inner pocket, she held the bottle under Leander’s nose, but he held his breath.
“You’ll need air eventually” she said “And I could stand here all day” Already Leander’s lungs where starting to burn. He couldn’t last much longer. “Just a quick breath” he thought, but as he gasped in a breath, the evil Scot girl practically shoved the little bottle up his nose. Leander had the impression of falling down a dark tunnel, and everything when black.

Whatever, I'll just call it fanfic

Sorry I'm taking so long between posts guys, I've been going crazy with all the stuff I have to do. I got really lazy at the end, again, sorry.

Bridget was pacing. She had been pacing for the last five minutes as Eloise hacked into the airport records, trying to find out where Tanith was going.
“Knock it off Bridget” whined Anarchy “You’re making me motion sick” Bridget rolled her eyes and plopped down on the couch for all of three second before she was up and pacing so fast she was just a blur.
“Bridgetttttttt” moaned Anarchy, looking a tad bit green.
“Bridget, this is going to take another few minutes while this program runs” said Eloise “So for the sake of Anarchy’s stomach and your couch’s cleanliness, go pace somewhere else.” Bridget gave Eloise the evil eye, but sat back down. The laptop beeped once and Eloise turned back to it, with Bridget looking over her shoulder to see what it said.
“Dallas, Texas” Bridget read aloud. “That’s it? Nothing else?” she glared at the screen like it had done her personal wrong.
“What’s wrong with Dallas?” asked Sarthacus
“The Dallas airport is huge” said Bridget, she sighed and walked over to a door that everyone assumed was a closet. She opened the door and went through, Anarchy following curiously behind her.
“Wow…” Anarchy craned her neck and looked around at all the weapons that lined the walls of the little room. Everyone crowded into the small room, except for Eloise, who was still typing at astonishing pace.
“Wow…” echoed Dragona, looking at the knives and swords that cluttered the walls. Bridget ignored them and picked out her twin hunting knives, almost a foot long each, from the left hand wall.
“What happened to your whip?” asked Israel, who was examining a Winchester 1897 Shotgun.
“It got burned, and I haven’t gotten around to making another one yet” she shrugged ruefully
“How do you make a whip?” wondered Dragona
“With leather” Bridget replied shortly, strapping her holstered knives to her thighs and sliding another one into her boot.
“Let’s go” she said. Everyone followed her out of the weapons room, expect for Tanya, who stayed behind
“Come on Tanya” said Israel, even though he too was a bit reluctant to leave the room and all its magnificent guns, Tanya didn’t move. Bridget sighed and turned to glare at her.
“Tanya, you are not getting one of my guns so move it”
“But I didn’t bring my sniper rifle,” Tanya made her eyes big and watery “Are you going to let me go defenseless against one of the best fighters in the world?”
“You’re an assassin Tanya, how many knives do you have on you right now” Bridget’s eyes where slowly turning red.
“Only fourteen” Israel razed his eyebrows, Tanya was wearing semi-fitted jeans, a baby doll t-shirt and sneakers, there was no was she was hiding even one knife.
“Tanya, we don’t have time for this” Bridget’s eyes where bright red “We have all of Texas to search”
“Not necessarily” Tanya sounded very smug “If you let me borrow your AK-47 then I’ll lead you to right to where Billy-Ray’s house is” Everyone started backing away from Bridget, who looked like she was about to explode. She stewed for a minute, trying to find a way to make Tanya tell without getting blood on her floor
“Fine” she spat glaring at Tanya, who smiled and picked the AK-47 off the wall and rummaged around for ammo.
“If you scratch it you’re vamp chow”
“Whatever, lets go!” Tanya walked past a livid Bridget towards the hall door.
“Hold down the fort Eloise” Bridget ordered before leaving. Once they where all outside Dragona pointed his keychain at his Porsche and pushed a button. The car transformed into plane that looked very fast.
“Everyone on” he said with a grin

Still no idea what to call this

Hey y'all, I'm continuing this story line [link] in addition to Mea and Leander's story. sorry y'all had to wait so long for this.

Dragona parked and climbed out of his Porsche, looking suspiciously at the crumbling building before him. It was an old motel, straight out of the fifties with peeling paint, rotting wood and a group of vampires out front. That’s right; a group of four vampires where lounging on the crumbling stairs, smoking cigarettes and watching him with what Dragona hoped wasn’t hunger. He had parked his precious car outside the vampire inn, the number two place that never, ever wanted to go (hell was first on the list), he sighed and walked up the steps, being very careful to stay as far away from the vamps as possible. He had gotten a text from Bridget; saying that he was going to help her cousin hunt down Tanith and un-remnant her, or else, so here he was. Dragona tugged on the rusted metal handle to the door, but it wouldn’t budge, he heard giggling from behind him and turned to glare at the vampires on the steps.
“What?” he asked grumpily, which made them laugh harder
“What are you lot smoking?” asked a gruff voice from behind him “If the human wants to get in then the human can get in” Dragona looked around but here was no one behind him.
“Down here” said the gruff voice and Dragona looked down at the speaker who was a… cement frog.
“Bridget said a bunch of humans would want to get in today, you one of them?” the frog looked suspiciously up at him with its green glass eyes
“Yes…” said Dragona, not quite sure how else to answer to a talking cement frog
“Works for me” the doors clicked and opened an inch or two
“Umm, thanks…” Dragona pulled the doors open all the way and walked in. The inside of the vampire inn was neat, clean and tastefully furnished; no blood on the walls or spider webs or corpses hanging from the ceiling like he had imagined. He walked cautiously down the hall, wondering where Bridget was and how soon he could get out of here. A vampire girl poked her head out of a doorway in front of him
“I thought I smelled a human,” she said, thoroughly creeping Dragona out “Are you here to see Bridget?”
“Yes...” the vampire girl really looked very odd; she was short, but very thin and her eyes where different colors, one was blue and the other was a very light green. Her eyes added to her eccentric appearance, long black dreadlocks, a flowing green dress that fell to her ankles and bare feet.
“Oh good, Bridget and the others are in her room, Come on, I’ll show ya’” she darted off down the hall, Dragona following.
“Here’s Bridget’s room” the vampire announced pointing to a door that had a “enter and die” sign on it
“Thanks” he said but the odd vampire had already gone. Shaking his head, Dragona knocked twice on the door, then opened it carefully; he wouldn’t put it past Bridget to booby-trap her door.
"God" said a familiar Boston accent "What took you so long?" Dragona glared at the speaker, the ever annoying Anarchy Rose.
"Filthy hypocrite" said Bridget from her position sitting on the ottoman "You got here barely a minute ago"
"Shut up the two of you" said Sarthacus "Hey Dragona"
"Hey" he said absently, surveying his surroundings. Sarthacus was lounging on Bridget's beat up sofa, next to Bone, who Dragona had only met once before. Israel was sitting on the floor, resting his back against Bridget's ottoman and Anarchy was flopped in the hammock that was strung up in a the corner.
"Boo!" Dragona jumped slightly and looked up to where the voice had come from, Tanya waved at him from the ceiling.
"Ok," said Bone "I saw Tanith at the La Guardia airport, in New York. She has dyed her hair black, but still wears the same outfits, you know, the leather."
"So we know where Tanith has been, but how does that help? One doesn't go to the airport to just to admire the scenery, Tanith was going somewhere, most likely out of the county" Israel pointed out
"True," admitted Bone "But Bridget said she knew someone who could help" everyone looked at Bridget, who was picking her teeth, not caring about what everyone was saying.
"Bridget, " prompted Tanya "you said you knew someone who could help us"
"Did I?" Bridget sounded bemused "Well then I was lying" everyone stared at he. Their one little lead had just vanished so now they had nowhere to start, and no idea how to start. After a second of enjoying their faces, which ranged from astonished to outrage, Bridget relented
"Just seeing if you lot where on your toes" she said, corners of her mouth pulling up "ELOISE!" she yelled suddenly. Barley a second had passed before the odd vampire girl stood in the doorway
"You bellowed, ma'am" she said sarcastically and Bridget rolled her eyes and pointed at her laptop, which was balancing on a teetering pile of papers. Unlike the rest of the Vampire Inn, Bridget's room was not neat, or clean or anything even resembling organized. The odd vampire, Eloise,  manged to get the laptop without knocking any papers down as Bridget explained what she wanted her to do.
"I need you to get into the security cameras in the La Guardia airport and show us the footage from..." Bridget looked at Bone expectantly
"Saturday" Bone said
"Yeah, so show us the footage from Saturday" Bridget then explained to the group the Eloise was one of the most talented hackers in the world, and that she'd been hacking into computers since they had been invented.
"Got it" said Eloise, she had been typing for less then a minute, but when they looked at the screen, they saw a color image of Tanith. As they watched, the Tanith on screen fliped her black hair over her shoulder and smiled and waved at someone off screen. The person came into view then, a familiar figure with blond hair and sunglasses.
"Oh, god..." said Tanya glaring at the person on screen, who was none other then everyone's favorite Texan assassin, Billy-Ray Sangiune.
"Well, " said Dragona, "That complicates things"

Turkey day!

Hey y'all, its thanksgiving here in the USA so that means I have consumed about 10,000 calories in pie form and stuffed myself silly on turkey. Because its thanksgiving , I suppose I should say how I'm thankful for this and that and blah, blah, blah, but thats not the way I roll (and you know it) so instead I will post...
um....
I will post...
errrrrr...
I will post... an excuse for why the next part of Blind Ravens hasn't come out yet. Yeah, that will work. The excuse for why I haven't posted the next part of Mea and Leander's adventure is because I am lazy, simple as that :)
Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Blind Ravens, part 1

It was a lovely September day, clean and crisp with a brilliant blue sky over gentility rolling green hills. A hawk swooped out of the sky and landed on an old apple tree whose branches where heavy with fruit. It was the kind of day that made you smile and feel glad you were yourself. Mea saw none of it. She couldn’t see the hills, or the apple tree, or the hawk, all she saw was the darkness that had blocked her sight since she was a very small girl. She traveled along the dirt road, tapping along with her staff to check if the way was clear as she walked. She couldn’t see, but she could hear exceptionally well and so when she heard footsteps coming around the bend, she could tell it was one person, a man, most likely. Mea had been listening so hard, that she lost concentration on the road and tripped her staff flying out of her hand. She swore passionately and started feeling around for the damned stick, knowing it had probably rolled under a thorn bush or something with her luck like it had been for the last few months. I heard the man’s foot steps approaching, pause briefly, and then continued on as he walked over. The man handed me my staff and I gripped his hand and pulled myself up
“Thanks” Mea said, brushing her long and tattered cloak off and smiling at a place where she thought the man’s face would be.
“Did anything else fall out of my pack?” She wondered, but the man didn’t say anything
“Cat got your tongue?” She giggled, but there was real curiosity behind the laugh. The man moved her fingers to his chin so Mea could feel him nod,
“You can’t talk at all?” gasped Mea, wondering what had happened to him; the man shook his head and said haltingly in a scratchy voice
“Talk… little… hurts... badly” Mea felt him shrug “bye…” he started to walk away, but Mea followed him
“What is your name?” she asked
“Leander…”
“I’m Mea” she said cheerfully “This road leads to the sea port of La Ruse, are you going there?” she put her hand to his chin so she could feel him nod “I love the sea,” she said, sounding wistful “I can’t even see it, but still I know the power it holds. Have you ever seen the sea?” Leander shook his head
“It’s amazing, but the sea post is very dangerous.”
“How…?” Leander asked in his rusty voice. Mea just shook her head
“You’ll see when you get there, mein freund

In his forty-something years as owner of the Crossroads Inn, Benjamin had seen a lot of things that could be listed as “odd”, but the pair that had just entered the inn where definitely at the top of the list. The two looked to be about the same age; the girl was blind, with a black cloth tied over her eyes and had long white blonde hair that fell in a braid to the middle of her back. She was talking nonstop to a young man who was about a head taller then her, with dark hair and eyes. The young man guided the girl by her elbow to the bar counter and the girl smiled at a place slightly to Benjamin’s left
“Are there any rooms available for the night?” she asked with a light German accent
“Not many people traveling these day’s, so there should be a room ready for ya”
“Two rooms would be wunderbar; will this cover them and a hot meal?” Benjamin barely noticed what the girl was saying because his attention was captured by the four dully gleaming gold coins that the girl had placed on the bar counter.
“That would be more then enough.” He said in a slightly choked voice, swiftly sweeping the coins into the pocket of his grubby apron. “I’ll have a girl bring the meal over, just go get a table” he retreated quickly to the kitchen.
“Friendly little bugger…” Mea muttered sarcastically. The inn only had a few people in it, so Mea and Leander got a good table by the fire; the severing girl brought them a suburb lamb stew which Mea promptly inhaled. She sopped up the last of the stew with a piece of bread and stood, grabbing her staff from where it leaned against an empty chair.
“I’m going to bed. I need to get an early start tomorrow.”
“’Night…”
“Goodnight Leander”

Random XD

Hey y'all, I'm NOT going to be posting the next part oh my fanfic because I can't seem to get my butt in gear and type the damn thing :( but on a happier note i will be posting a new non-Skulduggery story. It will not be a fanfic and will not feature any of my OC's, so that means no Bridget, Tanya, Anarchy, Bone... nadda, zip, zulch. So bottom line is I've stopped doing fanfic for a while, but don't worry, i will continue fanfic-ing soon enough.

in the mean time, please enjoy this random pic of my new desktop wallpaper (i made it myself)

I have to put it down there so it won't run into my other stuff

Hmmm... I really have NO idea what to call this storyline

The Dead Men Tales was sorta like a prologue to this storyline (just thought you might want to know)

Ghastly walked through the halls of the Roarhaven sanctuary, trying not to look as depressed as he felt, it had been one year exactly since the remnant had taken over Tanith and, asides from that one short encounter with Valkyrie, no one had heard anything about her. He opened the door to his office and was surprised to see a girl waiting for him, leaning against the wall. She had grown a few inches, and the freckles that had once covered her face had retreated to just the bridge of her nose. Her hair was still a mass of curly red, but her slightly crazy grin was still the same.
“Bone?” asked Ghastly, rather shocked and Bone grinned wider
“Hey Ghastly!” she squealed, giving him a rib-crunching hug
“Ow, turn the enthusiasm down a bit please” Bone rolled her eyes, but let go
“It’s great to see you again” Ghastly said truthfully “I haven’t seen you in nearly, what, two hundred years?”
“At least” Bone looked around the room “are you Grand Mage now or something? I haven’t been in Ireland in about seventy years, so I’m out of the loop” Ghastly shook his head
“I’m not Grand Mage, Erskine is”
“Whaaaattttt? Who in the right mind would elect Erskine as Grand Mage?”
“Welcome to Ireland, where everyone is crazy”
“It’s because there’s too many leprechauns” Bone nodded wisely and started to rummage through Ghastly’s desk “If you aren’t Grand Mage then why do you have a nice office?”
“I’m on the council of the elders”
“Really?”
“Yes, now stop going through my desk”
“I’m an American citizen; it’s my right to be annoying”
“I’m on the council of the elders; it’s my right to kick you out”
“But you won’t, because you are too overjoyed to see me to kick me out” Ghastly had to grin
“True, true…” his smile faded as he saw the picture that Bone was examining. The picture was one of Tanith on the pier by Valkyrie’s house. She wasn’t really looking at the camera, but sort of turned to the side and trying to push Valkyrie off of the pier and into the ocean, but Valkyrie was using air manipulation to keep from falling. They where laughing and it was obvious that they both where having a grand time.
“Is this your girlfriend?” Bone looked up from the picture and saw his face “Oh, god, what happened? You look like she died or something” Ghastly struggled to compose his face and didn’t say anything
“What happened?” asked Bone again “Ghastly, I’m just going to keep bugging you till you tell me.” He sighed
“When the remnants escaped a year ago, one possessed Tanith and no one has seen her since, happy?” Bone didn’t answer at once, just looked hard at the picture. Ghastly sighed again and started to reorganize the papers on his desk that Bone had messed up.
“I’ve seen her” Bone sounded slightly surprised
“What?”
“I’ve seen Tanith, and recently too. I saw her waiting around at the airport when I got on the plane to Ireland. She looked, rather different, then the way she looks in this picture, but I’m sure it’s the same person.”
“What do you mean she looked ‘rather different’?”
“She dyed her hair black, but her eyes are the same and the way she dresses is the same” Ghastly shook his head
“Even if it was Tanith, she still wouldn’t be the same; the remnant has been in her for a year now.” Bone razed an eyebrow
“Give me a month and Tanith will be back to normal.”
“Bone, listen! The remnant has been with her for a year its permanent now.”
“I’m a genius, am I not? I’ll examine the receptacle and find out a way to get rid of the remnant while some friends track down Tanith. Easy.” Ghastly tried to igrore the hope that was swelling inside him, while at the same time struggling to think of a suitable argument, Bone took advantage of his silence to pull out her phone and started texting rapid-fire.
“Fine” Bone looked up from her phone
“Eh?”
“I’ll get Skulduggery to tell you where the receptacle is and I’ll get together a group of people to track down Tanith” Bone shook her head
“I got the group together already; I just need to look at the receptacle and your girlfriend will be back in no time.”
“Who's in the group?” asked Ghastly and she held up her phone so he could see the names there. He smiled as he read the names, letting the hope show.

The Dead Men Tales: Part 3

Corrival sat in his tent, reading some reports while at the same time eating the rather delicious stew that was his supper. It was late, about 10pm and his eyes stubbornly refused to focus on the paper in front of him, he sighed and put the paper down. Corrival wondered what was taking the Dead Men and Bone so long; it was only a 3 hour walk to Castle Bancrook and Bone had assured him that it wouldn’t take long to find the papers, he sighed again and pressed the heals of his palms into his eyes. Whatever the reason for the Dead Men being late, it would have to wait till tomorrow he was about to get up from his chair when Bone burst suddenly into the tent. Corrival jumped violently and his elbow landed in his stew dish
“Bone! What happened to you?” Bone was covered in blood and gore and had a piece of what looked like someone’s spleen stuck in her hair
“Hey Corrival, I got the papers you wanted” she said with a broad grin, obviously amused at his reaction to her gore-drenched state. The rest of the Dead Men entered the tent in a slightly less exuberant fashion and they all settled down at the round table in the center of the tent.
“What happened?” asked Corrival, his sleepiness forgotten “Did you find the papers?” Bone nodded happily and pulled the stack of papers out of her jacket
“Yup, it’s all here. Baron Vengeance ordered the construction of a bomb that, when triggered, releases a chemical into the air.”
“What does the chemical do?” Anton asked the question that was on all of their minds
“It renders all magic useless” Bone paused to let that sink in, then continued “Elementals, Adepts, Symbol casters, Healers… You name it, it would be useless” She looked around the table at all the grim faces “Luckily for you all, you have a brilliant scientist-”
“Have I met her?” interrupted Dexter and Bone gave him a withering look
“As I was saying…” she said snootily “I am brilliant and I managed to cross-wire the bomb-” Dexter interrupted again
“They had already built the bomb?”
“Yes, there was already a smaller prototype bomb with an effective range of about 50 yards built” Bone said with thinly veiled frustration “But I cross-wired the bomb that took a team of geniuses almost 4 months to build in about 2 minutes, then-”
“But…” started Dexter
“Will you just let me give my report?!” Bone half shrieked and Dexter fell silent “Thank you” she said grumpily “I cross-wired the bomb and then stole the plans. The war will probably be over by the time they build another bomb” She didn’t sound grumpy anymore, but very pleased with herself, so Dexter risked a question.
“Why did you cross-wire the bomb?”
“Because I’m a genius”
“You did it just because you could?”
“No idiot, I cross-wired the bomb so that it would explode and remove the powers of all the mages in castle Bancrook”
“When will the bomb go off?” asked Skulduggery and Bone looked at her watch
“It went off about an hour ago. I suggest that someone go over to Bancrook and see what happened, it was only a prototype bomb after all, it might not have worked” Corrival agreed and Bone ran off to go find a volunteer.
“How did she get covered in blood like that?” asked Corrival once she was out of the tent, then he amended “How did you all get covered in blood?”
“There was a fight. Bone did really well, actually” Dexter said, sounding a bit reluctant
“You sound surprised,” said a grumpy voice from the tent entrance and they all turned to look at scowling Bone
“Oh, this’ll be good” said Erskine, leaning his chair back on two legs and watching the storm brew
“Did you doubt that I could take care of myself? Did you think I would just be a burden?” demanded Bone. Dexter looked slightly abashed and didn’t say anything, Bone glared at him for a few moments, then turned to Corrival.
“I got someone to go and see what’s happening at Bancrook” she told him “I’m going to my tent now, if you don’t need me for anything else.”
“No, go get some sleep, you did well” Bone nodded and gave Dexter a parting glare before exiting the command tent. Dexter waited till she was out of the tent, then looked around at them all
“To tell you the truth…” he said reluctantly “She’s really rather terrifying” Bone popped her head back in the tent
“I heard that”

Awesome Jacket!

Hey y'all! I've been thinking about the uniform that the good guys in the war would where and I came up with this: a dark brown jacket over a sky blue sleeveless jerkin with gray pants and heavy duty boots. I made the jacket out of fake leather left over from my brothers Halloween costume, I haven't made the jerkin or pants yet, and I'm NOT going to make the boots, cheers!

The Dead Men Tales: Part 2

They walked swiftly through the castle, staying away from the busier corridors and ducking out of sight when ever someone passed. They reached a heavy wooden door and Skulduggery swiftly picked the lock,
“Stay here and guard the door” said Bone, slipping into the room. Not even three minutes later, a bell started to clang an alarm. They had found Bones’ handiwork at the outside gate. Ghastly pushed open the door and called out
“Bone, we need to go, now!”
“Thirty more seconds” Bone was rifling through a stack of papers at a feverish pace “Where is it? Where is it? GOT IT!” she stuffed a pile of papers in her coat pocket and ran out of the room, Ghastly hot on her heals. The little group managed to get through the corridors without being spotted, but when they reached the front gates, a small army of mages waited for them.
“Stay behind us, Bone” Erskine warned, but she sank into a fighting stance nonetheless. “Of course…” he muttered before the enemy mages attacked. Skulduggery and Erskine clicked their fingers and sent fireball after fireball into the sorcerers’ ranks, Ghastly and Dexter fired punches at whoever got close and Anton prepared to let his gist out. Bone just stood there, smiling faintly at the chaos that raged around her. An elemental charged her with fire in both his hands and her smile grew wider, she dodged to one side and lightly tapped the elemental's outstretched arm as he rushed past her. The bones in his arm shattered and he screeched surprisingly high.
“You’re a bone breaker?” asked Dexter as he applied a painful-looking arm lock on a mage
“Among other things” Bone said as she tapped the elemental's head, his skull shattered in the rather messy way skulls tend to do while shattering, she stepped away from the mêlée and closed her eyes. Spikes of something white erupted from Bone’s fingers, turning her hands into claws and her arms grew protective ridges. Spines shot from her shoulders in such a way that looked not unlike wings and her face was covered in plates of the stuff that Dexter now realized was bone.
“Impressive” he said reluctantly as she snapped off a spine of bone from her shoulder and hurled it into the back of one of the three men Ghastly was fending off at once.
“Look out everyone!” called Anton a second before he released his gist. It screeched and tore around the battle field, causing almost as much damage to the enemy ranks as Bone was. The gist flew around, tearing out the throats of as many people as it could as Erskine, Ghastly and Dexter each took a few steps back so they could catch their breaths and Bone joined them, panting slightly. Skulduggery kept throwing punches and fireballs to equal effect. The gist started screeching awfully as Anton reeled it back toward his body and within seconds the battle field was quite.
“That was fun” Bone said cheerfully, wiping gore from her face (she had been standing to close when the gist tore through someone)
“You have… a very… twisted… idea of fun” panted Anton, still trying to ketch his breath from the effort of pulling the gist back into him. Bone shrugged and Skulduggery –who had been inspecting her shoulder spikes- jumped back to avoid getting skewered.
“Sorry,” Bone closed her eyes and the bone spikes retracted quickly
“How do you do that?” wondered Skulduggery and Bone shrugged again
“I dunno... I’ve always been able to do it, but with practice, I got really good at it” she shrugged for the third time.
“But doesn’t it hurt?” Ghastly asked and Bone smiled a gorgeous smile
“It’s excruciating” she said cheerfully “let's get these reports back to Corrival"

The Dead Men tales: part 1

 Ghastly walked in between the rows of tents, hurrying to the command tent at the other end of camp, He was joined by Anton Shudder, who asked;
“Any idea what Corrival has cooked up for us now?”
“Unfortunately, no, but I hope it’s interesting”
“Has there ever been an un-interesting Dead Men mission?”
“You have a point…” they had reached the big tent that was the command center for the Dead Men and Anton pushed aside the flap that served as a door. Skulduggery, Erskine and Dexter where already there, along with Corrival, who was showing them some maps
“Ahh, Ghastly, Anton, its good that you’re here. I need you lot to infiltrate Castle Bancrook…”
“That’s it? Boring” interrupted Dexter and Corrival shot him a glare
“That’s not all; you need to infiltrate Bancrook while protecting a charming young lady by the name of Bone. She is going to see if she can find evidence of the so called ‘super weapon’ the Barron Vengeance is said to be designing.” A girl pushed her way through the door and smiled at them all
“Sorry I’m late” she said cheerfully “I’m Bone” she had wide green eyes, freckles, a mass of curly red hair and looked young, only about thirteen or fourteen. Dexter took one look at her and then turned to Corrival with a pained expression.
“Can’t you just tell us what we’re looking for? Then we can sneak in and out without anyone noticing us.”
“You can’t do that,” said Bone, still cheerful “I’m the smartest person in camp right now, only I know what to look for”
“At least you’re modest about it” muttered Skulduggery and she glared at him
“Simply repeating facts, Mr. Pleasant” she said haughtily “now I suggest we get a move on” Three hours later, the Dead Men plus Bone where hiding in a clump of trees, discussing how to get into the castle.
“I say take out the guards at the front gate and head in that way” Said Dexter, cracking his knuckles
“You heard Corrival, the front guards are very powerful long range adepts, they would take us use before we got into range to through fireballs” said Erskine
“Then what do you suggest?”
“I’m sorry, gentlemen, but our hand has been forced” Skulduggery said and everyone looked up. While the men folk had been talking about how to get in, Bone had slipped away and was now walking boldly up the path to the castle. The guards saw her and held out their hands, but then lowered them as the saw it was only one, unarmed girl.
“What the hell is she doing?” whispered Anton to Ghastly, who shrugged. Bone had reached the top of the small hill castle Bancrook was set on and walked up to the gates. The guards stepped so they where standing shoulder to shoulder, blocking her way.
“What gives?” she asked, looking up at the two much taller men
“Who are you and what is your business here?” asked the guard on the right and Bone smiled. All the Dead Men winced as the guards skulls cracked together, Bone leaned down and pulled the keys off one guy’s belt, then she jingled them in the direction of the slightly astonished men.
“Show off” Erskine said, taking the keys from Bone and proceeding to unlock the gates
“It’s all in the way you act, if you act like you belong, people will think you belong.” Dexter examined the guards, then looked up at Bone, rather shocked
“They’re dead, you shattered they’re skulls completely”
“Oh did I now?” Bone sounded slightly bemused at Dexter’s astonishment “well, better them then me”
“You are a very dangerous young lady” said Anton, shaking his head
“Compliments will get you nowhere” the gates clicked open and Erskine gestured them in,
“Stop talking, start walking” he ordered

Fear 15: The Pointless End

This is the pointless end of Fear, i wanted to do something nice for Bridget because she was tortured so much during the story. thanks for reading!
PS see if you can guess who Rueben's dad is (hint: skul-man!)

Valkyrie sighed, the twins being away was bittersweet; she was constantly worrying about them and whether or not they where okay, or even alive. On the other hand she had the house to herself and Fletcher. A roar razed her from her thoughts and she ran outside to see the plane landing in the back yard. The engines cut, the doors opened, and Jodi fell out of the doors and landed on her face.
“I hate planes” she muttered as Leo helped her to her feet. Kallista, Mary, Tanya and Anarchy where all laughing so hard they fell out too, then Skylara transformed into a tabby and sat on top of the pile of giggling girls (with Leo on the bottom).
“Hi mom, we’re home” Aoife said in a tone that suggested she had just gotten off the bus from school, not a plane from Russia. The twins hopped down and maneuvered their way around the giggle pile so they could hug Valkyrie. Sarthacus and Israel were laughing at Leo and Necros was actually smiling. Florence descended from the plane in the most dignified manner yet, making a set of stairs out of shadows and walking down those. Caelan helped Bridget down and they all walked into the house, well, Bridget limped, everyone else walked.
“What happened?” asked Valkyrie once everyone was seated in the kitchen
“mumph-aruugga KA-FOOM” Anarchy explained around a mouthful of a sandwich she had found in the fridge, ducking crumbs, Tanya translated:
“The castle went ka-boom”
“What?! How?!” Anarchy swallowed
“I blew it up with a bomb. It was wonderful” she said
“So pretty” agreed Aoife
“Much better then fireworks” said Scathach.
“And the Brie cannon” finished Aoife, slapping Anarchy a high-five. Valkyrie looked at her watch,
“You two are both going to school tomorrow, get to bed now or the jet lag will kill you.” The twins looked at her like she had three arms and two heads
“Can you make us reflections?” asked Scathach
“No, tough it out till summer break” Valkyrie gestured and a gust of air sent the twins skidding across the floor and into the hall “good-night” she said pointedly.

(The next day)

Aoife and Scathach (or should I say Molly and Maggie?) walked across the quad on the way toward the bus stop. Today at school had been terrible and the twins where very tiered.
“Hey Moll! Hey Mags!” Rueben waved at them and jogged over “hey, I haven’t seen you two trouble makers in a while, where ya been?” Scathach shrugged
“Family troubles, you know the deal” the lie came easy
“I most certainly do, what with Sharon divorcing my dad and all, and the custody battle because she said that a tattoo parlor wasn’t the best place for a kid to grow up and then-” Aoife cut him off
“You’ve told us many, many”
“Many!” interjected Scathach
“Many times” finished Aoife. they had crossed the quad and where making there way to the bus stop when Rueben said
“Whoa, who is that” the twins looked to where he was pointing.
“That, my dear Rueben,” said Scathach, unable to contain the grin that was spreading across her face “is our ride” Tanya sat on the hood of her lovely blue Mustang convertible, smiling and waving at all the year 12 guys that where staring at the car
“Hey guys” she smiled and hopped of the hood as they approached “I was in the area and I wanted to stop by and give you a ride”
“Translation; you wanted to show off your car” Scathach said as she slipped into the front seat
“Maybe a little bit of that to, you want a ride?” the last was said to Rueben
“Naw, I like walking, thanks though. See you two tomorrow” said Rueben, turning away
“Don’t remind me!” called Aoife from the backseat and he laughed
“Learn anything about Russia today?” asked Tanya as she leaned on the horn to make all the fan boys move
“NO, is that all that interests you?”
“Yes. Hmm, it would all be lies any ways, lies I tell you lies!”
“Lay off the sugar Tanya” said Aoife
“Humph, fine, I shut up and drive” fifteen minutes later they pulled up outside the mansion
“Where are all the cars?” asked Scathach, only a few cars where still left in the driveway.
“Everyone left; the only people still here are Mary, Leo and Florence ” Said Tanya, slamming the door to her car and walking into the house. The twins followed, lugging their book bags along behind them, they dumped their books on the kitchen table and started to walk upstairs.
“If you finish your homework I’ll show you how to fire my Dragonov” Tanya called and instantly the twins where sitting at the table with pens in hand. Tanya smirked and popped open a Coke. Five minutes later, Aoife asked
“Do you know any German, Tanya?” Tanya looked up from spiking her Coke with Anarchy’s vodka
Ja, ich weiß ein bisschen
"Come again?"
"Yes, I know a bit"
"Translate this part please"  Scathach held up her world language worksheet
"I didn't say I could read it, I said I could speak it. Go ask Bridget"
"So much help," Muttered Aoife, jogging up the stairs after Scathach, to the guest room Bridget was using.
"Hey Bridget!" Scathach slammed open the doors "we need- whoa" Bridget and Caelan stood by the window, wrapped around each other so completely that they hadn't heard the twins storming up the stairs. Bridget pulled away and glared at them with eyes a color that was normally reserved for fire-engines
"You have two seconds" she said in a terrible whisper and the twins ran, half screaming and half laughing, from the room.

Fear 14 : Dreams

(You guessed it; this is still Bridget’s P.O.V)

My leg was all stitched up now, and the bruises on my face where fading fast thanks to the sweet smelling cream that I had put on them. We still had an hour left to fly to get back to Ireland, so I reclined my seat and closed my eyes. When a vampire dreams, they see things that have happened to them before, memories, so as Bridget drifted off, her mind kicked into high gear. She was standing on a battle field, with the dead and wounded all around her. She heard a noise and turned to see Alexander, her little brother lying on the ground. She picked him up and held him, and as she did she saw the wound on his the back of his head. She rocked him back and forth, humming.
“Do you want me to sing for you?” I asked him quietly and his eyes lit up
“I will sing your favorite song” I whispered to him
“Little soldier boy,
Marching by,
Little soldier boy,
You’re going to die.”

“The war is long,
Ten thousand gone,
Still you march,
On and on” she saw his eyes slowly start to close, but kept singing.

“Snow and ice,
Sleet and hail,
Still you march,
Towards the hills.”

“The battle’s started,
Fire those guns,
Fight for your life,
And those you love.” He looked up at me and smiled slightly, then closed his eyes and went limp, I choked back a sob and keep singing, softly.

“Soldier boy fires,
Something goes wrong,
His gun explodes,
Soldier boy’s gone.” I unwrapped the scarf from around my neck and draped it over Alexander’s peaceful face. I stood for a moment over him, and then started to run. If Alexander was here, then mum would be close by, I jumped over a wounded man and then stumbled and fell. I was lying in the dirt next to a dead man with a something clutched in his fingers. I pried his still warm fingers off the necklace that my dad had giving my mum, just a simple gold chain with a cross hanging from it. Mum never took it off. I got up and ran,
“Isabelle, Isabelle!” the only person who new my real name was mum, I veered towards the sound of her voice. I found her, almost cut in half with a sword and delirious.
“There you are, where’s Alexander? And your father?”
“You’ll see them soon mum” I was close to breaking down and sobbing, but I held on. I sat on the earth stained with her blood and pillowed her head on my lap.
“Here mum, I found this” I fixed the necklace around her neck
“Thank you honey, oh! I see them! It’s your dad and Alexander on the other side of the field!” she smiled a little smile “there coming for me. Now remember, I will always love my little girl” the spark faded from her eyes. I stood over the body of one of my family for the second time today. I reached down and slid mum eyelids down, then pulled the sword out of her stomach.
“Rest in peace, my family…” I said
“Bridget!” the voice was far away and faint “Bridget! Hey, Bridget wake up!” some one was shaking me “are you awake now?”
“No” I muttered, but I sat up and glared at Kallista
“We’re going to be landing soon, buckle up” I sighed and pulled the belt over my lap.
“Wow, you’re grumpier then usual, did I wake you up from a good dream?” I thought about the battle field
“No” I said softly “it wasn’t a dream”

the song is by me, its called "The Soldier Boy's Lament". you sing it very slow and sad

Fear 13 : Past

(Still from Bridget’s P.O.V)

We stood by the pit that used to be the castle and the surrounding catacombs, watching for any sine of life.
“Flo?” I asked gesturing to the pit “anyone still alive?”
“Yes, one person is still- never mind.”
“How many dead?”
“Fourteen” I quickly did a count in my head, 5 Fears, at least 7 servants, maybe 2 prisoners…
“Fifteen” make that 3 prisoners.
“Good god, Anarchy” Skylara stared down in the pit “Good god” she said it again because there was really nothing more she could say.
“Come on, we need to move now” I grabbed the twins by their shoulders and steered them towards the snowmobiles, everyone mounted their snowmobiles and we took off. After about an hour we reached a small shack at the edges of Moscow. Tanya returned the snowmobiles and then led the way to the landing strip that the plane was waiting on. It was close to midnight now, and the best inside me wanted to get out and hunt, with so many humans so close by, the smell was mouth watering. No one saw us as we got a board the plane and prepared for takeoff. I took Tanya’s first aide kit and retreated to the back corner of the plane, I put a leaf in my mouth and the numbness spread quickly so I could stitch up my wounds without any more pain. My broken arm would haft to wait till we where on the ground, but I could take care of the slash on my thigh now. I carefully pulled the flaps of skin together with my good arm, then started to stitch them closed with a black needle. Leo walked over cautiously and sat on the seat across from her
“Bridget,” he said “don’t take this the wrong way but, are you evil?” I stared at him, so naïve.
“There is no such thing as good and evil,” he stared to protest but I cut him off “you think good and evil are equal forces, marching against each other on a level playing field? You think that one side is all white and the other is all black? There so no such thing. The battle field has potholes and chasms and mountains to climb and there are many groups all fighting, not just good and evil.”
“But all those people you killed…”
“What do you think I should do something to gain redemption?” the thought was so funny I threw back my head and laughed
“Well, yes” Leo said very quietly
“I have done what the Christians call ‘purgatory’ ten thousand times over. I sang to my little 5 year old brother as he fell into an eternal sleep. I comforted my mother as she died for a hole as big as your head in her stomach. I…” I bit my lip to keep from saying anything more and tasted blood. Once I had gained control and I wouldn’t go spilling out my live story to everyone, I continued;
“You can’t live for over three thousand years without killing, you would never last. It’s a survival of the fittest world we live in, even if you haven’t noticed. Actually, I was surprised that anyone came for me, you where so lucky that the Fears where away. If it had been any other day you would have been killed before the castle even came into sight.” Ignoring the stares of everyone that had been listening in, I went back to stitching.

Fear 12 : Explosion!

(This is from Bridget’s P.O.V)

Every step I took hurt like hell, but I kept walking, thinking about how odd it was that my little rescue team hadn’t encountered anyone. I sifted through memories that I hadn’t needed in three thousand year, trying to remember which was the best way to get out. Memories of me drinking, memories of me killing, and memories of me sneaking around, memories that weren’t helpful, at least not right now. Just then, I remembered, the Fears weren’t around tonight because tonight was the full moon. Every month at the full moon everyone gathered in the catacombs and a calf was sacrificed at Gustavo’s orders. Weird, yes, but really quite good luck for my little rescue team. They had reached a broken window and everyone was climbing through, but when I lifted my leg to put through the window, the pain was so bad I nearly cried. Huh, I hadn’t cried since… I don’t know when, a long time I guess.
“Need help?” Caelan’s voice was so soft only a vampire could hear it
“No” I hissed at him, swinging my other leg through the window and muffing my cry of pain. He just sort of smiled at me and climbed out after me. All the other were already outside and getting on there snowmobiles.
“You can ride with me” Caelan said and I shelved my pride and sat behind him. It was easier than sitting behind a human and being temped to bite them for the entire ride back.
“Hey, Bridget! Catch!” Anarchy tossed a little remote to me and I snagged it out of the air
“What’s this?” I asked
“If you push the little button, the castle goes BOOM” I stared at the little remote for a few seconds, then looked around at then all.
“What, I don’t get a count down?” Aoife and Scathach grinned crazy-like and started counting, well, more like bellowing numbers at the tops of their lungs.
Five!
Four!”
Three!”
Two!”
ONE!” I allowed myself a small grin and pushed the button. The castle exploded with such force that I felt myself being pushed backwards. It was quite for a second or two, and then Anarchy started laughing so hard she fell into a snow bank, which made her laugh harder.
“What the hell was in that thing?” asked Jodi, staring at the flaming place where the castle used to be. Anarchy shrugged
“A bit of C4, some plastic explosives… and a little something else”
“What’s the ‘something else’?”
“Ask me no questions and I shall tell you no lies”
“MOVE!” yelled Israel suddenly and a second later a rumbling noise started. Everyone got on their snowmobiles and the sudden roar of the engines starting was deafening. As we zoomed away, I looked back and saw something odd. It looked like the ground was disappearing, then I got it. The catacombs where collapsing!

Fear 11.5

Bridget limped out of the throne room, supported by Caelan, and led the way down the halls.
“Israel, is this way safe?” she demanded and he shook his head
“10 or 15 golems are that way”
“It’s the fastest way out, anyone up for a fight?” no one had any problems with dispatching a few golems and so they went down that way, with knives drawn and guns at the ready. They turned the corner and saw a group of golems guarding a door and Bridget suddenly paled, making all her bruises stick out even more
“Back up, back up, back up!” she hissed and they all retreated around the corner “this way is better,” she pointed to a different corridor “ that way leads to where everyone sleeps and we do not want to wake up anyone”
“I thought you would know your way around” muttered Leo, but Bridget heard him and gave him a withering glare
“I haven’t been here in about three thousand years, give me a break” she continued limping along, ignoring everyone staring at her
“Three thousand years?” Skylara said
“That’s what I said”
“Good God Bridget!” Said Sarthacus, staring at her
“Yes, I’m old, get over it and move!” everyone got moving again, except for Anarchy, who was hanging behind.
“Come on” said Scathach and Anarchy ran a little to catch up. No one noticed the little black box she left behind, a tiny light on the box started to flash red.

yes, this part is tiny. but i really wanted to leave you hanging  with the little black box :D i call it 11.5 because its so small

Fear 11 : Memories

Leo awoke from the blackness to find himself in the same room, but in a different time. The throne room was dark and empty, except for one person. Leo gasped as he recognized Bridget. She and had on a white dress that was smeared with blood, a black crown of thorns rested on her elaborately styled hair and in her hand she held a glass of red wine. She looked only about 10 years old! Leo then noticed something different, although her skin was pale, it wasn’t a vampire’s usual complexion, she hadn’t been turned yet. A man with long black hair and a nose that reminded Leo of a beak walked in from the hallway and passed right through Leo’s ghostly image.
“Vile,” said Bridget, nodding at him
“Helen, I see you took care of our guests” Lord Vile gestured at the blood stains on Bridget’s dress
“So simple, so easy, it was almost a shame to do it so quickly. But I did get a new addition to my collection” Leo looked closely at the thick golden necklace she was rolling between her fingers, and then recoiled. The necklace was made of wedding bands; two of which were still dripping blood. Vile stared at the necklace
“You would have made a great necromancer, almost as great as me.” he said
“Don’t flatter yourself” Bridget took a long swig form her wineglass “I’ve been thinking,” she said “that you have, outlived, your usefulness” she set down the wine glass and stood up.
“You can’t fight me child, you will die” Vile was smirking at the little girl that stood before him, he gathered shadows in his hands and blasted them at her. She leaped over them and sent a ball of blue energy at him, he dodged to the side and sent a wave of shadows at her. It smacked her into her face and she tumbled back, Vile approached the still form of Bridget and razed a hand above his head to bring the shadows smashing down on her. A ball of blue energy smashed into his exposed chest and he fell back with a shriek of pain, Bridget pulled a long, wickedly sharp dagger from an ankle holster and it glowed with blue light. Vile rolled out of the way at the last second and the dagger chipped the stone floor where he had been. He hooked her foot with some shadows and Vile was up and Bridget was down, he tried to smash the shadows into her, but she dodged and sent the dagger spinning into Vile’s chest. He couldn’t block in time and the dagger slid easily between his ribs. Bridget clicked her fingers and the knife slid out of Vile’s chest and flew back to her hand, she lunged again and plunged the knife into his heart. Vile died screaming. Bridget clicked her fingers again and the knife came to her, she whipped it on the stained dress she wore and slumped into her throne, she had only taken a few sips of wine before a vampire entered the room. She was tall and had blond hair and blue eyes,
“Master?” she said when she saw Vile laying on the floor “Master?” she spotted Bridget in her stained dress “you killed him!” she shrieked and Bridget stood up
“Leave, Mary-Anna, you never saw this” Bridget’s hand drifted to her dagger, but Mary-Anna would not stand down. Leo saw Bridget weighting her options, she was hurt and sundown was fast coming, she couldn’t fight now, she would lose. Bridget tried to walk out, but Mary-Anna blocked her way. Bridget growled ant sent a marble sized ball of energy into Mary-Anna’s chest, she was blasted back and Bridget walked out.

*
Leo surfaced from the memory with a gasp and looked around; everyone was gathered around him with worried expressions, but he only looked at Bridget.
“How old where you when you killed Vile?” he demanded, ignoring everyone’s gasps.
“It was my eleventh birthday” she said in a weary tone
“Good God Bridget! The rings!” Bridget looked very tried and sad
“I know” was all she’d say. Leo started to rant about the memories he saw, but Israel stopped him,
“We need to leave before the guards get us. You can tell her off later” Leo glared at Bridget then walked past her and out of the throne room, walking over the spot were Lord Vile breathed his last.

Puppy!

It's my puppy! this is a sort of comic relive from the Fear storys, besides everyone else is posting videos.

Fear 10 : Rodvich

The plane trip was quite, or as quite as a group of warriors all stuck together in a flying aluminum cigar could be for 6 hours straight. They landed in Moscow at around 2pm and Tanya led them straight to a small shack on the outskirts the city and ushered them inside
“Snowmobiles or cross country skis?” asked Tanya, “Do we want stealth or speed?”
“We are about as subtle as a hand grenade in a bowl of oatmeal,” said Anarchy “I vote snowmobiles”
“I second that, cross country skis are a lot of work” said Jodi and everyone else voted too. The finial vote was 10 to 2 in snowmobiles favor and soon they were all zooming along the barren landscape. After a little more than an hour of following Tanya through a maze only she could see, the group saw a light up ahead in the rapidly fading dusk.
“Castle Rodvich” Tanya announced and everyone stopped the engines and climbed off the snowmobiles stiffly.
“Whoa,” said Israel “gothic much?” the castle was on the small side, but made up for it with tall towers and stone that was so weathered it was black. The gargoyles leered down at them as they crossed the snowy court yard to a window
“What are you doing?” asked Tanya as Caelan wrapped his fist in his coat, he answered by slamming his fist through the window
“As subtle as a hand grenade in a bowl of oatmeal,” Tanya repeated “I see what you mean” Jodi rolled her eyes and checked her watch, she then said:
“We’d better move now, unless you want to be vamp chow” no one did so they all clambered through the busted window and into an old stone hallway. Israel, stood still for a minute, then led the way through the halls, steering them away from the guards that seemed to be placed only at the entrances
“Any chance she’d be in the highest room of the tallest tower?” asked Sarthacus as they sneaked along
“That’s only for princesses; no, she’s in the throne room” said Israel
“Throne room?”
“It’s a big room with thrones in, what can I say?”
“They don’t think much of themselves do they? Do they have crowns too?”
“I wouldn’t know. Aw, hell” Israel muttered the last part as he saw something in the future. The sun was setting so Caelan jammed a syringe into his arm, but Bridget had no such luxury apparently, few seconds later the sound of a very angry vampire filled the hallways.
“We must be close for her to be so loud” said Mary, trying to look on the bright side
“You’re optimism annoys me” said Anarchy as they jogged through the corridors towards the noise. They emerged in a dark and, facing them was a semicircle of 7 thrones, all looking like they had been cared out of black ice. A screech made them turn towards the corner. A large steel cage that currently held one very grumpy vampire and several bleached white skulls was sitting there, and buzzing with electricity.
“Pu-lu-eaz…” said Leo, walking towards the cage, but Skylara stopped him
“Maybe we should make sure Bridget wont rip through the cage bars and eat us first” It was a very real possibility, as the vampire that used to be Bridget went crazy the second that they had stepped in the room, growling and hissing at the promise of fresh blood.
“Here,” said Scathach, holding up Bridget’s black case, she had found it in a pile that consisted of Bridget’s knives and badly charred whip
“Give it here” said Jodi and she pulled a syringe out of the case. With a very fine piece of elemental magic, Jodi managed to get the syringe into Bridget/vampire’s neck, a blast of air pushed down the plunger and Bridget/vampire let out a high pitched moan. Her bones crackled as she shrunk back down to human size, it was rather disturbing to see her change back, but in a minute she was back to her human self.
“What the bloody hell took you so long?” she asked angrily, but everyone just stared at her. She was standing hunched up like it hurt to stand straight and her left arm was held limply at her side, most likely broken. Her right eye was swollen completely shut and her pale skin was mottled with deep bruises. Anarchy recovered first
“God, we leave you alone for, what, not even two days? And you manage to run yourself through a meat grinder, jeez”
“It’s a skill” Bridget said in a rough voice “now get me out of here”
“I’m on it” said Leo, walking up to the bars and placing his hands on them. There was a loud ZAP and he flew back through the air, narrowly missing a delicate looking glass globe that sat on a metal pedestal
“Ow,” he said, sitting up and shaking his head “try the bars now Bridget” he stood up, using the metal pedestal for support. The glass globe, teetered, then smashed to the floor
“Oh hell” he managed before the black gas that was housed in the globe shot into his mouth and every thing went black.

no, its not a remnant
